Have you ever heard a compliment about you? Have someone
told you how he believes in you and how he sees your capabilities and tells
you, “I know you can do more”? oh well.. gusto ko lang i-share na a while ago,
after our meeting, I received a compliment… Ate K, my group coordinator told me
something I’ve been dying to hear for a long time… (yes, I used ‘dying’ cos I
waited for this news for so long and now… I got it!) She told me that…
“Siguro nagtataka ka na bakit yung mga ka-batch mo, may mga
service na sila… tapos ikaw, wala. Hmm… kasi
I reserved you for something bigger. Hindi ko/kami kasi nakikita na para
ka doon sa existing groups na ‘yon kasi nakikita kita na para ka sa mas mataas
na level… so, you’re for C.Y.A – it’s for young adults. It’s more mature… so
nakikita kong mas mature ka… kaya nireserve kita para doon.”
It wasn’t exactly what she said but it was sort of like
that…
Sa totoo lang, ang tagal kong hinintay ‘to. matagal ko rin
pinagdadasal na mabigyan ako ng service kasi gusto ko i-extend ang aking
paglilingkod. Gusto kong mag excel, gusto kong mapayaman pa yung nalalaman ko
at gusto ko rin na mapalalim pa yung pananampalataya ko. Gusto ko rin na
patunayan sa iba na may mga bagay akong kayang gawin…
Natanong ko rin naman sa sarili ko na… “Hindi ba sapat yung
mga naipakita ko?” o “Ano pa ba ang kulang sa ‘kin?” “Hindi kaya dahil sa hindi
ako lively or ma-boka, kaya hindi ako pinipili?”
But I was wrong… ‘cos they’re preparing me for something
more… something bigger… something new and challenging! And I love challenges.
So, I’m going to embrace that challenge and be ready for more mature roles and
activities.
It’s an early Christmas gift! J
